On Wednesday, February 26th at 4:30 p.m. we invite you to a public lecture by Fr. Cezary Binkiewicz OP, director of the Angelicum’s St. John Paul Institute of Culture. The lecture titled “The Truth and Searching for a New Paideia” will be held in Aula 11 as part of the JP2 Lectures series at the Angelicum.
Fr. Binkiewicz will address the questions whether the connection between truth and education still exists in today’s culture, whether it is needed, and therefore whether education has any well-legitimized purpose. This is, in his opinion, important because our Western culture, which grew out of the Greek-Christian Paideia and today defines itself as postmodern, to a large extent negates and undermines this connection.
The lecture will be held in English and is open to all. The lecture will also be broadcast live on Angelicum YouTube and Facebook channels.
