This year marks the 60th anniversary of the conciliar declaration Nostra Aetate, the watershed moment in Jewish-Christian dialogue. Within its text, it is clearly stated, through the words of Paul (Rom. 9:5), that from the Jews “is the Christ according to the flesh.” The conference “Nostra Aetate and the Rediscovery of the Jewish Jesus” aims to explore, through the contributions of internationally renowned scholars, the significance of Jesus’ Jewish identity in light of the path outlined by Nostra Aetate. The event will address historical, theological, methodological, and educational aspects, while also focusing on the Jewish presence in the city of Rome, which is hosting the conference.
